What is Group Insurance?
Group insurance is the pooling of risk among a group of individuals who are tied together by a common bond, e.g., working for the same employer. This allows the insurer to reduce premiums because of shared risk and common administration.
The Planning Process
As a matter of philosophy we take the time to help each of our clients crystallize their goals and priorities before we request proposals from benefit carriers. First, we help each client review the needs of their employee group. We identify gaps or duplications in existing coverage. Finally we prepare specifications, analyze insurer proposals and oversee the selection and implementation of the plans fitting the goals previously agreed to.
Why Use a Benefit Consultant?
In the fast-changing world of employee benefits employers need the objectivity of someone who is not limited to working with one benefit provider. Our advice will always be in our client’s best interest. Consultants can only prosper when their clients are satisfied. Our income stops when we stop meeting the needs of our clients. Because consultants do not sell one particular product they must offer a broader range of knowledge and information to their clients. We have established relationships with a number of insurance carriers.
